Hello and welcome! My name is Ivica, and I am a licensed tourist guide for Zadar County and seven other Croatian counties. I guide in English, Spanish and French, and I believe that every place has a story worth discovering—not only in its monuments, but also in the people, traditions and values that continue to shape everyday life. Although I wasn't born in Zadar, I chose this city as my home many years ago. That choice changed the way I see travel. It taught me to appreciate not only famous landmarks, but also the countless details that reveal a city's true character. For me, guiding is not about reciting dates or leading people from one monument to another. It is about helping visitors understand why places matter, how history shapes the present, and how culture lives on through local traditions. I believe every meaningful journey is, in its own way, a pilgrimage—not necessarily a religious one, but an opportunity to discover new places, new perspectives and perhaps even something about ourselves. That idea inspires the way I guide, inviting my guests to experience Zadar with curiosity, openness and a deeper appreciation for its heritage. My goal is simple: that you leave not only with beautiful memories, but with a genuine connection to the city and its people.
