Hello. My name is Uwe. I was born and raised in South Germany and live now in Ireland, a land which still fascinates me. I'm a Engineering Lecturer and for nearly 20 years, a licensed guide. I've lived and worked in the US, France, Australia and England and of course Ireland. I love history and travelling and as a result accumulated many friends all over the world with a great understanding of different cultures. Happy to guide on city walking tours, like Dublin, Belfast, London, Edinburgh, Glasgow and many more, with the relevant highlights and hidden stories. The kinds of tours I offer are the ones I'd like to do myself. I like a guide who knows history, culture, customs and architecture but does not give a lecture; I like a guide who makes me laugh, lets me stop for coffee, knows where to find a restroom and able to recommend good restaurants; I like a guide who is independent and doesn't steer me into a cousin's carpet shop; I like a guide who inspires me to see and do more, but doesn't wear me out with too much information.
