Ronald Groenendyk, originally from the Netherlands, has been living in New York for 25 years and has been working as a tour guide there since 2019. For 18 years before that he was the Director of the travel emergency assistance office of ERGO Travel and International Health Insurance. In this case capacity he was responsible for the support to travelers and expatriates in North America and eventually South America as well. He first started working as a tour guide in the Netherlands and in Southeast Asia immediately after finishing his degree from the University of Amsterdam and has been traveling and guiding other travelers ever since. For the last 3 years, from 2021-2024, he has working as the Executive Director of a not-for-profit Yoga Association in New York City. He is passionate about travel, literature, music, history, gardening, yoga, languages, all for the purpose of making connections with people from all over the world.
