Yes, the Scrovegni Chapel must be booked and paid for online in advance (website https://cappelladegliscrovegni.it/index.php/en). Entry times are every 15 minutes, and a maximum of 25 people are allowed per time slot. If you wish to visit the chapel with a guide, this must also be booked in advance. The fee is €1 and applies to the same time slot reserved for you. You must arrive at least 30 minutes before your booked visit time. The entire visit lasts approximately 30 minutes: 15 minutes in the climate-controlled room and 15 minutes in the chapel itself.

Padua's city center is very compact, and you can see many sights in a single day. Padua is located near Venice, Vicenza, Treviso, and Bologna, all of which are reachable by car or train in approximately 30 to 90 minutes, depending on your destination.

The historic center is quite compact, and the main sights are relatively close together, making it easy to explore the city on foot.

Markets are held every day except Monday and Sunday morning in the medieval squares of the city center (Piazza della Frutta, Piazza delle Erbe, and Piazza dei Signori).

There is also a full-day market on Saturdays at Prato della Valle.
