C.S. Lewis said: "Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, 'What, you too? I thought I was the only one". Becoming friends is basically all about sharing experiences. I'm the kind of person who is curious about everything and for me having fresh experiences is like making an exciting new discovery. I think that this attitude also makes it easy for me to empathize with my clients. I feel as if we were taking a journey together and, even though I guide them on this journey, I always learn something along the way. During my tours, I always combine amusing stories and curious facts with information about history, art and architecture. I always try to put myself in my listeners’ shoes. I want them to experience a real connection with what I’m telling them. Sometimes we even perform role-playing together, and thus Mrs White was transformed into Livia, the emperor Augustus' wife, while her husband played the infamous Emperor Nero and her sons had the roles of Tiberius and Domitian. One day a member of a group told me: "You know, we really felt as if you were one of us and not just a stranger". I was happy to hear that I had made such a connection, especially because I felt that I was only being myself.
