Originally from the US, I lived in Germany, Hong Kong and Singapore for a total of 25 years prior to coming back to London in 2017 (after studying here in the 1980s). My initial career was in accounting prior to the multiple international moves (and the births of our three, now grown, children). I developed my guiding skills as a volunteer museum docent in Singapore prior to starting out as a bicycle tour guide here in 2018. I began leading walking tours for different agencies and, in 2020, I qualified as a City of Westminster guide. My own tours, such as the Nursery Rhyme Ramble, as well as my Obscure Tours, focus on quirky and unique subject matter and I also specialise in Girl Guiding history. Every guidebook and website can provide you with insights about the standard sights but only a trained and experienced guide like myself can show you to the lesser-known spots and enlighten you as to the unknown history and off-beat tales of popular stops.
