I hold an Interior Design degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and worked as a designer over several years in the United States. After moving back to Salzburg, Michaela studied to become a licensed Austria Guide. With over 14 years of experience as a guide, I has gained a great understanding of the culture, traditions, history, and culinary life of Salzburg. In every tour, I aim to convey Salzburg’s wonderful architectural heritage, the story of its greatest musical son, Mozart, and, of course, to give the backstory for the movie classic, "The Sound of Music," set and filmed in Salzburg. In the last 6 years I successfully expanded my tour activities on the creation of food tours and bike tours in combination with cultural features of Salzburg. Each guest is unique to me and my goal is to help create an unforgettable experience on customized private tours in and around Salzburg.
