Assisi private walking tour
Assisi is a typical medieval town and even today you can feel the spirituality of Francesco and Chiara in every corner. On our tour you will discover the old and the modern mix of details that make up the city.
Important point is the beautiful Basilica of San Francesco with the frescoes by Giotto; the most important artists of the time worked on the upper and lower churches, such as Cimabue, Pietro Lorenzetti and Simone Martini.
Also worth seeing are the birthplace of Francesco and the most hidden corners of the medieval city. The heart of the city is Piazza del Comune with its Roman Temple of Minerva, later converted into the Church of Santa Maria sopra Minerva. Even today it is the best preserved Roman monument in Umbria.
Let's discover it together.
