Pisa open air

A walking tour through the historical centre with special attention to the Cathedral Square and the Leaning Tower. All tours start traditionally from the Cathedral Square where there is much to tell about its monuments, the Pisan history and the people who used to hang here out, first of all, Galileo Galilei!

After taking pictures of the Leaning Tower from all possible points of view, the visit continues further into the lively centre crowded with students and locals. We will see special places like Piazza dei Cavalieri where the homonymous palace is now the seat of a very important university, the old market square called Piazza delle Vettovaglie, the medieval arcaded street of Borgo Stretto and the Arno River with historical palaces overlooking it.

We could furhter cross the bridge and look at the southern district up to the Mural that the famous pop artist Keith Haring painted in 1989. The tour could take a circular itinerary in order to end up back in the Cathedral Square and let you lay on the green lawn to enjoy the atmosphere.
