A LAWN FULL OF MIRACLES
Hundred years ago, the writer G. D'Annunzio called this square “the miracles' lawn”, a nickname that suits it perfectly. On the green lawn, the huge and white buildings of the Baptistry, the Cathedral and the Monumental Cemetery stand proudly. They all are worth a visit not only outside but also inside. Wonderful architecture and artwork just as traces left by charachters and events, like the Pisanos' Pulpits and the Triumph of Death by Buffalmacco.
Afterwards we will discover refined medieval sculputers and other works of art hosted in the newly refurnished Diocesian Museum. Finally a visit to the Sinopies Museum, where the preliminary drawings of the Cemetery's frescoes hang on the walls of the old medieval hospital.
Did I forget something? Oh, yes! The Bell Tower!! After an exhaustive explanation of all its aspects, you can't miss the unique experience of climbing the world-famous Leaning Tower!!
