2-hours Oslo tour
Oslo's Central Station has welcomed its arriving guests since 1854 - today with many cozy cafes and restaurants. In 1980 a new modern train station was built next door.
We walk up the main street "Karl Johan Strasse" to the "Royal Castle" on "Bellevue Hill" - approx. 1 km.
Our first stop is "Oslo Cathedral" where in 2001 Crown Princess "Mette Marit" married Crown Prince "Haakon Magnus". Further up the main street we find the Norwegian parliament building "Stortinget" and the "Grand Hotel" where the "Alfred Nobel Peace Prize Laureates" greet 10,000 Oslo residents from the balcony on December 10th.
We will see the National Theater and Oslo University, two important institutions of a nation and monumental buildings of our city.
We make a detour to Oslo City Hall at Piberviken Harbour, where we can also see Aker Bridge Shopping Center and our new National Museum. We climb the stairs to "King Haakon VII Square", next to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, via Henrik Ibsen Street, and arrive at the "Royal Castle".
