Toledo - City of the three cultures
Toledo - also called "City of the three cultures" - is an extraordinary mixture of Christianity, Judaism and Islam.
The city has many sights to offer - but also hidden corners, narrow streets, ancient architecture, ruins and so much more that you can discover on the tour.
One of the most well-known monuments is the grandiose Catedral de Santa María de la Asunción de Toledo, which dates back to the 13th century (but with a much longer history - as you will find out), with magnificent paintings, the Royal Chapel and an interesting August tradition.
The fortress of Alkazar - now home to the Army Museum - is located on the highest hill in the city and offers a beautiful view of Toledo.
Walking through the city's Christian, Jewish and Muslim quarters, you will learn a lot of interesting facts and stories about the former capital of Spain and its people, culture, gastronomy and traditions.
