Boat Trip To Drottningholm

Drottningholm Castle is the official residence of the King of Sweden since 1981. Located on the island of Lovon ( Ekero) and much of the complex is open to the public. Designed by the architect Nicodemus Tessin has a rich history. It used to be a summer residence for the Royal Family. In 1800 , the Castle was gifted to Queen Louise Ulrike and redesigned it in a French Rococo style. The complex includes: - the Main Palace Building, - the Court Theatre ( from 1800), - the Baroque Gardens & extensive grounds We meet at Stockholm City Hall ferry station ( Pier 5) for a mini cruise across Lake Malaren and enjoy a visit to the whole area. After , a pleasant cruise across the picturesque Lake Malaren ( 1 hour) dotted with many islands we reach our destination: Drottningholm Royal Castle!
