The tour explores two of the most exciting parts of London containing many of the city’s top sights and gems (including two UNESCO world heritage sites). We start at the Tower of London, which, among many other roles during its almost 1,000 years of history, was a royal residence and notorious prison. We learn about London’s history of trade and commerce and see the famous Tower Bridge. From there we take a walk through the modern financial district with its many skyscrapers towards St. Paul’s Cathedral, famous for its dome. Following a short break, we make our way to Westminster, seat of the UK government as well as the royal family. We walk down Whitehall to see various government buildings including Downing Street, the home of the British prime minister. We continue to Parliament Square where we see the Houses of Parliament as well as Westminster Abbey and learn more...
