Acropolis – the upper city – presents to the world the most perfect unit of the Greek art and shows clearly how the sculpture is no independent decoration but expresses the cult and art together with the architecture.

We visit the ancient monument, starting at the Dionysus theatre on the south slope of the natural fortress. As we proceed to the Propylaea, the sanctuary with the temples of Parthenon, Erechtheion and Athena Nike is welcoming us.

Thereafter the Acropolis Museum is on the program. During the construction, they came across the ruins of the oldest settlement of Athens and we walk on glass floors, protecting the excavations. The visit of the Acropolis is completed with the visit of the Museum with the sculptures and reliefs of the temples.
