Edinburgh Compact: Overview and Insight
During this tour, we'll to get to know the centre of Edinburgh in a quick and compact way: We get a first overview from Calton Hill, which offers wonderful and striking views of the city centre, the suburbs and the surrounding area up to the Firth of Forth bridges.
Then we walk through the elegant, wide streets of the 18th century and get an impression of the new town with its reserved classicist splendor before we venture into the medieval old town with its narrow streets and courtyards.
Via the Royal Mile, the central axis between Holyrood Palace and the castle, we get to the next viewpoint, the castle hill. Up here is the old heart of the capital of Scotland, the castle.
After another panoramic view, we say good bye to each other on the esplanade. This gives you the opportunity to explore the castle and the old town on your own.
