The New Skyscrapers In Milan

The new skyscrapers in Milan are located at Porta Nuova district. The project was approved in 2004, comprising a total surface of about 290,000 m2 (3,155,882 sq ft) divided into 3 parts: • Porta Nuova Garibaldi • Porta Nuova Varesine • Porta Nuova Isola

The area is composed of 20 high-rise buildings (including apartaments, shops and offices), a new metro station purple line 5 of the Milan Metro and many underground car parks and it is surrounded by a large green park BAM „The Library of trees“, completed in 2018.

Citylife is another skyscrapers district in city-centre. The project is about 360,000 m2 that is an area of 36.6 hectares (90 acres). The three towers are called: Il Dritto („The Straight One“); lo Storto („The Twisted One“); il Curvo („The Curved One“) and inside there are only offices. A shopping district with 80 shops, 20 restaurants, a cinema with about 1,200 seats is the right place to spend free time when you live in the luxury apartaments located in a large green park that also shows site-specific artworks of contemporary artists.
